Jenn Friesen’s Story

I started my weight loss journey when my baby was 2 months old. I was weighing in at 175 by then and my goal was to lose 50 pounds. 

BeforeIt took amazing dedication, hard work, will power and self discipline. I cut out anything unhealthy and fattening in my diet, including drinks! I ONLY drink water… and lots of it! I also take a good multivitamin and I go to the gym 5 to 6 days a week.

Lots of cardio, and a little weight training to begin with.  My husband and I also went for many walks after supper when the weather was still good. It was Very hard, but I had a great support system and I had a vision of who I wanted to be.

When I started, I was so out of shape I could barely walk up the stairs! And starting smoking again after I had baby did not help! So when I started with the weight loss I also quit smoking cold turkey.

It took 7 months of pure dedication to reach my original goal, but I have officially lost 50 pounds… I am 125 now, and am down 35 inches!!!! I still have a ways to go to tone up more and have a beach ready body, but I continue with my healthy lifestyle and will never look back!  At my latest Body composition test at BodyFit August 14, 2009 I weighed 120 pounds and registered 19% body fat!
